USF Value Guide
USF Value Guide for International and Non-Florida students.
REMARKABLE VALUABLE INVESTMENT. OPPORTUNITIES. At USF, we have a simple formula for calculating value: Remarkable, career-preparing, life-shaping opportunities [total cost of attendance – (Scholarships + financial aid)] = value First, consider the remarkable opportunities: • Intense academic discovery with world-class scholars • An array of undergraduate research opportunities (with the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center or the Louis de la Parte Institute of Mental Health, to name a few) • The wide-ranging resources of Tampa Bay (think internships with Booz-Allen Hamilton, the Tampa Bay Rays and Raytheon Company) • A vibrant residential campus (with more than 30,000 students, 500 clubs and organizations, and 41 fraternities and sororities) • A diverse community (through which you’ll encounter enriching perspectives and meet lifelong friends) • The excitement of Big East athletics Discover the value of a USF education. DISCOVER REMARKABLE OPPORTUNITIES Redefining holistic care In addition to an intense course load, biomedical science and philosophy double major Ryan Williamson, who begins medical school next fall, still found time to amass a wide range of real-world experiences during his time at USF. From shadowing a surgeon at James A. Haley VA Medical Center (and witnessing the removal of cancer from a patient’s esophagus) to volunteering with Young Life, a national youth group, at its winter camp in North Carolina for three years, Ryan’s diverse experiences have equipped him to provide holistic care to his patients. “I only hope that my background in philosophy will one day assist me in acting upon my patients’ best interests when I am faced with making critical ethical and bioethical decisions.” Remarkable opportunities at USF Through rigorous study with talented faculty members in challenging courses and meaningful undergraduate research, internship, leadership and service-learning opportunities, USF will equip you to embark on your career or pursue an advanced degree.
