In 1989 The First Three Members Of URI-TV Walked Into What Was SVC's Studio Contol Room, Now Just A Storage Area. Two Years Of Determination And Hard Work Later, It Is A Full Functioning Video Production Studio. Silent Before, URI-TV Now Makes Bi-weekly Appearances On Local And State Cable Systems. With Two Staple Shows, The Low-Budget Zone And Campus Beat, URI-TV Is Always Expanding And Adding New Dimensions. Capturing Important Events For Immediate Review By The Student Body Was An Important Aspect Of Campus Beat These Last Two Years. Among These Events Was The March On The State House, The Mackal Field House Dedication And The Klumback-Flack Senate Debate. On The Lighter Side, The Low-Budget Zone Comedy Show Gives Those A Bit More Daring A Chance To Show Their Stuff In An Often Bizarre Medium. Popular Characters Like Ninja Nun And That Pope Headline The Show. Moving Into Its Third Year, URI-TV Is On A Roll That Will Involve More And More Students In The Existing World Of Videotography.
