200 YEAR OLD WINE ESTATE BEDROOMS Joseph Barthélémy Viennet acquired the Château de Raissac on the 15th of July 1828. Today, owners Christine and Jean Viennet share rooms in their Château with guests while their son Gustave and his wife Marie continue 200 years of wine making tradition.

“Magical and historic setting offering superb rooms”

In a warm atmosphere and wonderful surroundings, dinners are prepared by your host with the ingredients of the vegetable garden. Jean Viennet cooks with care and creativity following the day’s inspiration - in harmony with the wines of the estate. On the first floor, the five comfortable bedrooms combine elegance and charm. Each room has its own style and story, furnished with antiques, cues of art deco styling and paintings from the 19th and the 20th centuries. Spacious and bright, with en-suite bathrooms and toilets, they all overlook the beautiful garden.

The Château de Raissac is located near the river Orb, 3 kms North of Béziers, in the heart of the province of Languedoc. Christine, a renowned ceramist, has founded a Museum of Ceramics and of 19th century Arts de la Table in the beautiful old stables. Jean, a painter invites you to discover his portraits and murals in the Château. Guests can relax in a peaceful garden and enjoy delicious dinners served under majestic trees facing the charming 19th century greenhouse, or in the shade of the bamboos, more intimately, in the smaller 17th century dining room.
