MIDWEST STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM NORTH DAKOTA MINNESOTA WISCONSIN MICHIGAN NEBRASKA ILLINOIS KANSAS MISSOURI INDIANA What is the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP)? The Midwest Student Exchange Program, or MSEP, is an interstate educational opportunity for students in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. MSEP allows residents from the participating states to enroll at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) with reduced tuition (applicable only to on-campus courses). This reduced tuition rate is significantly lower than the regular non-resident tuition. 2013-14 UNO Tuition Rates Tuition rates Resident Non-resident MSEP Undergraduate $196.75 $598.00 $295.12 Graduate $245.25 $665.00 $367.87 Students are considered non-residents for tuition purposes. The Student Accounts Office makes the appropriate tuition adjustments to the MSEP rates after the student has registered for classes. In order to receive the continued benefits of the program, the student must maintain a 2.50 cumulative GPA. MSEP participants cannot establish residency for the purpose of paying in-state tuition. MSEP students will pay no more than 150 percent of the regular UNO in-state tuition.
