Yellowstone Join us for exploration and discussions of the natural wonders of the west. Participants will complete coursework through email as well as participate in an excursion to each locale to see the geology, plants, and animals firsthand. Getting Off to a Good Start: The First Three Days of School (GOTAGS) 3 graduate-level professional development units

You get one chance to make a first impression as a school year begins – and research tells us that what a teacher does the first few days of school influences students’ behavior and academic achievement throughout the year.

So, what is the most effective way to prepare for the first two or three days of school?

What can a teacher do in those first days that will create more teaching and learning time throughout the year? This course answers these questions and helps teachers create optimal conditions for learning that can lead to a successful school year. Also, the text provides additional ideas and materials to encourage and maintain good student behavior.

Registration Information & Policies CREDITS Undergraduate Extended Education Units (EXTN) (15 hours = 1 unit): All credits are full semester units unless otherwise noted and will be listed on your University transcript.

Professional Develop­ment Units (PDU) Post-baccalaureate professional development (9000-9999 level) coursework designed specifically for graduate level educators and administrators.

Semester units (hours) of non-degree graduate level credit are awarded for successful completion of coursework. In addition, these courses will be listed on a University transcript.
