The University of New Hampshire athletics department recorded its most successful year in 2007-08, as every one of the 20 varsity teams competed in conference postseason play.
Three Wildcat teams won conference regular-season titles last season. Two were crowned tournament champions. Six competed in NCAA tournament competition and four other teams boasted individual qualifiers.
Gnarlz, the newest member of the Wildcat mascot team, made his debut last fall. Both Gnarlz and Wild E. Cat will make appearances at UNH athletic events.
UNH garnered 187 points in the 2008 U.S. Sports Academy Directors’ Cup to once again place among the top 100 of more than 360 Division I schools.
UNH had 204 (64%) student-athletes named to the America East Winter/Spring Honor Roll. This was the third highest number in the conference.
