Not only have I been able to find out what I am most passionate about, but I have also learned about the importance of connecting to a community and working together throughout the process. At Carolina, I have explored education through direct, organizational and policy-oriented public service. I taught in the Mississippi Delta, mentored at McDougle Middle School, and tutored in math and science at Seawell Elementary School and Lakewood Montessori. Organizationally, I planned campus panels with Students for Education Reform and conferences with the Roosevelt Institute.
