SUPPORT STAFF VINCE LOGAN Director of Operations

Vince Logan begins his fourth year as the director of football operations at ULM. He is responsible for coordinating team travel, on-campus recruiting visits, assisting with the walk-on program, housing, meal programs for student athletes, coordinating summer camps, overseeing the program’s compliance paperwork and assisting with NFL scout and high school coach visits. Prior to joining ULM, Logan spent 2 years as the group sales coordinator at Boston Col-

Prior to his stint with Boston College, Logan spent one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a customer service representative. He worked hands on with all customer service issues for the Buccaneers and was the primary contact at Raymond James Stadium for fan satisfaction on game day. Logan began his professional career working for the Durham Bulls Baseball Club, the AAA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. He began as a group sales assistant in 2005 before taking over the role of business development coordinator for two years.

Criminal Justice (December 2009) and earned a Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Science (December 2011) while working with the Athletics Compliance and Academic departments. Truxillo is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Education Technology Leadership.

ALEX WASHINGTON Graduate Assistant (Offense) Alex Washington, a native of Monroe, La., is in his second season as a graduate assistant with the Warhawk football team. He assists with the ULM offense. Washington played collegiate football at Ole Miss from 2007-11. He was part of the Rebels’ back-to-back Cotton Bowl Championship squads in 2009 and 2010. Washington appeared in 40 career games and made 10 starts during his career. He graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership Program.

He graduated from East Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in management of recreation facilities and services in 2004. Logan earned his master’s degree in administrative studies from Boston College in 2009.

CODY WELLS Graduate Assistant (Offense)

A two-year member of the East Carolina baseball team, Logan spent the spring of his senior year working for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe.

Former ULM quarterback Cody Wells is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the ULM football team. He assists with the ULM offense.

He is married to the former Melissa Kopp and the couple welcomed their first child, Madeline Grace, in September of 2011.

BEAU BRENCE Graduate Assistant (Defense) Beau Brence is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the Warhawk football team. He assists the ULM defense.

Wells appeared in 47 career games during his four seasons as he finished with 1,897 passing yards and 13 touchdown passes. He also tallied a 118.8 passing efficiency rating during his four seasons in a Warhawk uniform. As a senior, he started at Arkansas State and finished 37-of-53 for 357 yards and two touchdowns. During his final season in Monroe, Wells completed 64.1 percent of his passes.

Brence played college football at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where he appeared in 50 straight games over the course of his four year career with the Rebels. The Plano, Texas native lettered as both a defensive lineman and fullback during his time at UNLV. He was named team captain his senior year in 2012. During Brence’s time in Las Vegas he played under then-associated head coach and offensive coordinator Todd Berry.

Wells was named to the Sun Belt Conference’s Academic Honor Roll each season. He also was named the recipient of both the ULM President’s Award and the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl’s Scholar-Athlete Award in 2012.

Brence served on the university’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was an active member of FCA. Upon graduating, the UNLV football program rewarded Brence with the Robert Cline Award, which is given annually to a senior who shows great character as well as commitment to the team, university, and the Las Vegas community. He graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Matt Braunscheidel is in his seventh year as the video c­ oordinator for ULM.

He is pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership and technology.

MATT BRAUNSCHEIDEL Video Coordinator

Braunscheidel’s primary responsibilities include filming and editing all football practices and games as well as running the live stream thru Warhawk All-Access. He also oversees a staff of graduate and undergraduate students and the video responsibilities for the entire department.

He is pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership and technology.

JAMES TRUXILLO Graduate Assistant (Defense) Former Warhawk safety James Truxillo is in his second season as a graduate assistant for the ULM football program. He assists with the ULM defense. Truxillo was a four-year starting safety at ULM from 2006-09. He was one of the team’s permanent captains in 2008 and 2009. As a senior in 2009, Truxillo earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors and was a nominee for the 2009 Danny Wuerffel Award for Academics, Athletics and Community. Truxillo earned First-Team Academic All-American honors from ESPN the Magazine in 2008. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in

Before coming to ULM, Braunscheidel spent a year working for SBU-TV Channel 9 in St. Bonaventure, N.Y. While at SBU-TV, he spent time in front of the camera as a news and sports anchor and reporter as well as behind the scenes as a producer, editor and the news director. In 2005, Braunscheidel worked as an intern with the A ­ llegany ­County Nitros, a member of the New York Collegiate Baseball League in a public relations capacity. Braunscheidel received his bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication in 2006 from St. Bonaventure University.
