Idaho had one gala Homecoming celebration for 1936. Chairman Sam Johnson allowed the group houses a free rein in their choices of themes for decorations. Forney Hall won the women's prize, while the Phi Delts carried home the bacon for the men. The Vandal foe was Washington State College. The annual serpentine of the women through the men's houses, a homecoming mixer, a dinner for alums, a smoker, and prize fights all added to the hilarity of the great occasion.
