blocker for the Gators, Chatman and the volleyball team posted a 126-10 overall record and made fourconsecu ve appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including the NCAA Final Four in 2002 and the na onal championship match in 2003. Erik Peterson enters his first season as an assistant coach with the UCF volleyball program. Prior to taking the posi on with the Knights, Peterson spent four seasons as the assistant coach at USF, where he helped guide the squad from a 4-22 record in his first season with the team to a 19-10 record in three-short years. Peterson was hired at USF a er having worked with the USA Women’s Na onal Team as it prepared for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. The newly appointed assistant coach began his collegiate coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Florida in 2003. That season, he helped lead the Gators to the NCAA Championship match and a 36-2 record. Returning as the Knights’ volunteer assistant coach in 2009, Tyler Adams brings a wealth of both coaching and playing experience to the UCF coaching staff. Adams coached and played for the FC Schü orf, a professional men’s volleyball team in Europe, helping guide his Second Division squad to a league championship in 2008. Adams also spent five years playing for the UCF men’s club volleyball team. He was honored by the NIRSA as a second team All-American in 2008. From 2006-08 Adams served as a player coach for the club team, before taking over the team as the head coach in 2009.
