Director of Player Development

Defensive Graduate Assistant

Kristy Belden is in her 12th year at UCF, and her second as the football program’s director of player development. Previously she served as an associate director in the academic services for student-athletes office and as the lead advisor for the Knights’ football team. Belden received her bachelor’s degree from St. John’s, where she was a member of the Red Storm track and field team. She earned a master’s degree in educational psychology/sport psychology from Florida State. Belden and her husband, Paul, welcomed their first daughter, Zoe, in 2010.

Mark Cammack Director of Player Personnel Mark Cammack is in his seventh year at UCF, and his first as director of player personnel. He spent two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant from 2011-12, working closely with the linebacker unit and the offensive show team for the defense. Cammack’s prior experience at UCF included serving as the operations/recruiting intern where he assisted in the day to day operations of the football office and with all on campus recruiting duties. He also was a volunteer student assistant performing various tasks for the staff. Prior to rejoining UCF football in 2011, Cammack spent the 2010 season as the special teams coordinator and secondary coach for nearby Lake Howell High School. Cammack received his undergraduate degree in sports and fitness from UCF in 2007 and his master’s degree in sports and fitness in 2009.

Paul Carrington Defensive Graduate Assistant Paul Carrington begins his second year as a defensive graduate assistant. As a defensive end for the Black and Gold from 2002-05, Carrington amassed 139 tackles in 46-career games while with the Knights. Following his UCF career, Carrington signed a free-agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons in the spring of 2006 and went on to play in 15 games with two starts for the Falcons that season. The Georgia native would then sign with the Denver Broncos in 2007, and he also suited up for the United Football League’s California Redwoods from 2009-10. Carrington received his bachelor’s degree in communications from UCF in 2005, and then earned his master’s in sports and fitness with an emphasis on exercise physiology in December 2010.

Danielle Cumm Senior Administrative Assistant Danielle Cumm is in her fourth season on the football staff, serving as senior administrative assistant. She helps the staff with the compilation and assembly of playbooks and other tasks preparing the Knights for game day and beyond.

She spent 2005-08 working in UCF’s athletic marketing office where she was primarily responsible for baseball while also assisting with football and basketball. She was a marketing intern for the Houston Astros during their 2009 spring training in Kissimmee. The native of Jacksonville earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in marketing from UCF in 2005 and a master’s degree in communications from UCF in 2007.

Andrew Dodge enters his first year on the staff as a defensive graduate assistant. Originally from Pennsylvania, Dodge was a three-year letterwinner at Martin County High School in South Florida. He joined the Knights family in the fall of 2008 as a student equipment manager. For the 2008-12 seasons, he oversaw the day-to-day operations and assisted with defensive line and secondary drills. In 2012, Dodge volunteered at Timber Creek High School in Orlando where he coached the wide receivers. Dodge received his bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science from UCF in 2012. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in coaching and sport administration.

Ed Ellis Dir. of Strength & Conditioning Ed Ellis has more than 25 years of experience in the field and 22 years as a head strength and conditioning coach with stops at Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Illinois State, Ole Miss and Arkansas in addition to UCF. Ellis is in his 10th season as director of strength and conditioning at UCF, working directly with the football program while overseeing the strength, speed and conditioning efforts for UCF’s 16 sport athletics program. Ellis was named the 2000 Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year for the ACC. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education and health from Alabama in 1987, and his master’s degree in education from Arkansas in 1989.

Travis Fisher Defensive Quality Assistant Travis Fisher returns to Orlando as UCF’s defensive quality assistant in 2013. Fisher spent the 1999-01 seasons as a Knight after two years at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. Born in Tallahassee and a graduate of Godby High School, the cornerback racked up 130 tackles with UCF, including 61 during his senior campaign. He currently ranks seventh on the all-time list with 31 break-ups in his collegiate career. Following his days in a Black and Gold jersey, Fisher was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the second round with the 64th overall pick of the 2002 NFL Draft, and ranks as the third-highest draft pick in UCF history (Daunte Culpepper 11th pick in 1999, Torell Troup 41st pick in 2010). He went on to play five seasons with the Rams, two with the Detroit Lions and one with the Seattle Seahawks, while he also joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2010.

Sean Fitzgerald Offensive Graduate Assistant Sean Fitzgerald is in his first season with the UCF football program in 2013 as an offensive graduate assistant. Fitzgerald went to St. Thomas Aquinas High School and came to UCF in 2007. He worked as a member of the UCF equipment staff (200712) and also interned with the UCF offense for a year (2012-13). A native of Coral Springs, Fla., Fitzgerald earned his bachelor’s degree in general business management from UCF in May 2012, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in mass communication.
