Teacher Education In addition to the College of Education, Teacher Education students may also be enrolled in programs through the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and the College of Health, Science, and Technology. The University of Central Missouri’s Teacher Education Programs are accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) (ncate.org). In Spring, 2016, UCM will have our first national review by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), for more information visit caepnet.org. UCM teacher certification programs have been approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (dese.mo.gov). Many UCM educator preparation programs are also nationally recognized by their specialized professional associations.
