All cellular phones must be turned off and placed in bags while the examination is in progress. If your phone rings, alarms, vibrates or makes any sound in your bag during the examination, it will be confiscated pending a retrieval fee of $1500. If your phone rings, alarms, vibrates or makes any sound on your person or if it is discovered on your person during the course of the examination it will be confiscated pending a retrieval fee of $1500 and you will be subject to the same penalty as having unauthorized material on your person.

Examinees may or may not be allowed to leave the examination room with the question paper when it is so indicated on the question paper but they are not allowed to keep any other examination materials.

When examinees have finished the examination and have checked their work and sealed their booklets, they should raise their hands and an invigilator will come to their desks to collect the scripts (and sign the examination timetable and receipt card where applicable). Students will then sign the examination register.

Students’ identification numbers must be clearly written on their answer booklets.

Examinees should not write their names on their scripts, as the script will not be marked if it has a name or any other identifying marks or illustrations.

Examination Security • Students must adhere to the published guidelines concerning examination security at each centre. Examination Irregularities • Any student found guilty of examination irregularities and using methods inconsistent with the conduct of an examination: cheating, receiving examination documents (prior to a sitting) through any act of coercion, falsifying entry documentation, using notes or papers during an examination, will have his/her examination cancelled and may be required to repeat the module/course or be asked to withdraw from the programme. This offence would form a part of the participant’s permanent record.
