Great Fun! (cont.) Clarion County Cheer Spirit
Join other Girl Scouts to learn cheers and jumps, and play cheerleading games in this fun-filled mini-camp at the Clarion High School Gym! Each girl who attends will also receive a cheerleading fun patch. Girls should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. The Erie BayHawks are excited to invite the Girl Scouts out to a game this March! There will be many activities planned that include time with the players, coaches and dance team. This will give girls many opportunities to earn badges and experience a BayHawks game unlike ever before! Fly Fishing means no worms and no mess! Learn fly fishing basics and types of bait, and head to the lake to practice fly fishing techniques. Learn the basics of fishing, including knot tying, casting, baiting the hook and taking a fish off of the hook. You’ll also explore the types of fish you can catch. Indiana County SMART Angler
Join Park Naturalist Mike Shaffer from Yellow Creek State Park for this four-hour program that focuses on being a “smart” angler. Through the SMART Angler program, you’ll learn about types of fish found in Pennsylvania, fish habitats, fishing safety and equipment, knot tying, outdoor manners and protecting our water resources. Each participant will learn basic fishing skills and gets to put those skills to use on Dragonfly Pond!
