Eldridge Dickey with NFL Hall of Famer and Minnesota Vikings legendary quarterback; then with the N.Y. Giants, Fran Tarkenton, prior to the 1968 NFL Draft. On January 30, 1968, Dickey was drafted with the 25th pick of the first round by the Oakland Raiders becoming the first HBCU player to be drafted as a quarterback.
