Kool! You betta tell us some funny/ tasty/nasty story about the industry! [PBC] The craziest story I have from my vid/film production days was when I was shooting behind the scenes footage of Dem Franchize boys at BET with my brother-in-law. I was asked by their manager to stop shooting and put on the So So Def mascott costume and join the guys on stage with Da Brat while they performed the “They Like Me” remix. I got on that stage w/ that costume on and started doing the snap dance! They all loved it and the crowd loved it.

You seem to have a unique connection with Brooklyn and its community. What is unique about Brooklyn? How does this connection is reflected in your rhymes? Brooklyn to me is like the Mecca of Stardom. I mean in a sense of Brooklyn birthed so many of the “World’s Greatest”, so it seems like if you are a talented individual and you are from Brooklyn, you could be destined for Mega Stardom. People from Brooklyn have a certain type of moxie in the way we carry ourselves. The era I came up in, was literally like “Do or Die!” in Brooklyn, just like the late great Notorious said. It was like a concrete jungle and only the strongest survived. There were robberies, murders, crooked cops, block wars, etc. every day. It seemed like if you were to survived all of that, it meant you were born to win, not only on a local, or domestic level, but on an international, world-wide level!
