From the Publisher

Into the future

We are harnessing the positive and supersonic changes on the information platform and adapting them to suite our unique outlook.

The approach to the Atlanta Hartford Jackson International Airport reveals a view of aircraft traffic synchronization. Communications between the pilots and air traffic controllers are audible on channel nine of the in flight entertainment system. It is generally estimated that the airport handles over 230,000 passengers daily and is ranked the world’s busiest airport by passenger traffic, including the number of take offs and landings. As I work my necks muscles, and strain my eyes to get the best view of this statistics from my aerial vantage position, my thoughts meander through a complex maze of operations that optimize such volume of traffic. Could this have been possible decades ago? How much preparations go into planning for an increase in such traffic volume? What kind of daily statistics is gathered to effectively plan for the future? As we march into the future in a world that has changed so dramatically in the last few years, we are left with no choice but to adapt and be part of the process. As we celebrate the release of our tenth edition, one must pause and look back into the past and appreciate the efforts that have gone into shaping the obvious changes and positive outlook of the magazine. The role of social networks cannot be overemphasized, but I must add that consistent research, objective analysis and great physical efforts have all gone into the drive to shape the future and adapt to the sands of time. Media has drastically changed in this dispensation. Information now flows at a much accelerated rate. From your palm, millions of people around the world can be informed in a second. Does this change the approach to the profession of journalism? Absolutely! At Trendy Africa Media, we are harnessing the positive and supersonic changes on the information platform and adapting them to suite our unique outlook. We are constantly sourcing for professional inputs, while simultaneously working with variables to shape our future. To this end, we are clicking our glasses of Chardonnay for the efforts so far, while keeping the RAM’s and integrated circuits in our computers running nonstop. Our faith with a great dose of mercy will keep us striving to achieve the best in the future. So readers, with your consistent patronage and feedbacks, you will be deemed as being part of shaping the future. We must extend our sincere appreciations to all those who have contributed and still contribute to the vision of Trendy Africa. Your dedication, contribution and prayers will be used as a point of contact for your own. Join us in celebrating the tenth issue as we work towards a great future. We can assure you that we will remain in constant motion as we cruise into a new dispensation in environmentally friendly contraptions. As the Holiday season approaches, may your aspirations be actualized now and in the year 2012 and beyond.
