EDITOR’S LETTER Welcome to the Issue
S
ummer is here in all her glory! The time has inally come to pack our bags, hit the road, board that train or hop on those lights we booked in the grey days of an earlier season and head for that summer holiday destination. Whether you spend time relaxing on a beach or depart for destinations promising new sights, sounds and adventure there is something universal we all consider… going and getting there in style! This issue of TREMPE Mode will accompany you in your fashion adventures through the many trends of the season. This year summer fashion is all about contrasts: neutrals and pastels are back, but vibrant tones are still ruling; the same is happening with patterns: geometrical or lorals against monochromes and color blocks. It certainly is a call for freedom - after all, what is summer if not that time where you feel most free? This state of the mind is indeed relected from our real and virtual closets. Gracing the cover of this Summer Edition is Miamai, modelled and photographed by Miaa Rebane. Monica Outlander’s Luxe collection is the perfect combination of what we consider the essence of the season: exotic in its gypsy feel, the Kezia swimsuit will soon be available for your purchase. We are delighted to offer you a preview of the new collection from hmaem: riri Bazar’s work is all about colors and minimal lines. Our fash-
ion selection goes on with the new Nautical collection by Gizza, revealing the lastest trend of the season, and the detailed elegant perfection of Gabriel suits for the gentlemen. Summer fun is all about accessorising! We gladly present for you our assortment of Must Haves from some of the top accessory designers of the grid. We go on with a wide variety of inspiring fashion editorials covering the many vogues of this summer from our stylists: Calima Dufaux, Dantelicia Ethaniel, Jax Aster, Journey Lorakeet, July Raymaker, Paradaa, Pierre, Piper Dinzeo and Strawberry Singh. Using her photographs, creating a unique and individualistic style with brush strokes, Dantelicia paints a new path for herself. Having been a photographer in Second Life for over four years now, with a focus on fashion photography, she has more recently embellished her work using traditional painting techniques. In her irst life, she is a French fashion designer with a passion for arts in general. In what spare times she has, she enjoys both painting and drawing. She found in SecondLife a way to explore new forms of creativity.
Inviting and enticing us into the story woven by her photographs, Isa has us see the world, her world, with new eyes. Isa has been a photographer in SecondLife since 2011. It is her desire, her intention that the images she attempts to convey are a narrative which drop the viewer right in the middle of the story. In order to achieve this, she employs the use of time as a recurring theme in her work. In her irst life she is a graphic designer. The images that she creates are most often inluenced by ilm.
With a pencil in her hand from as far back as she can remember, Talullah has been making pictures and stories about the strange goings on in her head. Once utilising any kind of surface available to bring them out of her mind and into the world, this ‘private diary’ of her thoughts can now be seen exhibited in SecondLife. Working in photography and having a small vintage fashion outlet, her inspirations come from many sources, however always tell a story. In her irst life she was trained at Art College in Fashion Design and had her own studio.
Interested in movement and poses, Axiomatic is an artist of composition. He ‘’stumbled’’ across photography while playing with Phototools in Second Life and after staging some dense and harsh B & W, unusual for the time, he quickly moved onto RL street photography. He reines his work daily to meet his personal interpretation of what Moriyama and the photographers of that generation deined decades ago ‘’I am always composing in pics and prose, be it feelings, moods or landscaping and stills or more conceptual and abstract subjects”.
