Chin Up Tea Dance

Torbay Mayor’s Forum

You are invited to the Chin Up Tea Dance 2-4pm on Saturday 17th October at Brixham’s Edge. The dance has come about through a partnership between a project called Chin Up! directed by Tony Liddington with support from Doorstep Arts, which aims to research entertainment that people had during their time in the armed forces.

Torbay residents, organisations and businesses are invited to attend the seventh Mayor’s Forum, which is taking place on Thursday 29 October in Torquay.

Doorstep Arts and Young Volunteers at The Edge in Brixham are running the Tea Dance and are inviting veterans, their families and anyone else with any interest in this subject to share their stories with the young volunteers, enjoy good food, listen to music and generally have a lovely time. All the research will provide the young people from Juicy Theatre Brixham with the stimulus to create a performance, ideally including veterans and their families. Tickets are £4 on the door, call 01803 851414 for more details. Find out more about Doorstep Arts and their exciting programme here http://doorsteparts.co.uk/theatre
