Spring fever has hundreds of hopefuls feeling the heat as things hot up for the judging of The Chronicle Garden competition.

The result is a city and surrounds filled with an awe-inspiring and not-to-be-missed spectacle of prize winning plantings.

Entrants vie for the chance to take top spot in one or more of the 44 categories contested each year. Farms, schools, businesses and homebodies go head to head in a battle of the blooms across the garden groupings, from small to large, commercial to domestic, city to country, new to established – the field is wide open for the picking.

Find the competition souvenir guide and map in The Chronicle on Friday 21 September or pick up a copy from the Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre, 86 James St (Warrego Highway), Toowoomba.
