Was shipping out with the 75th Infantry Division slated for Europe as a rifleman, but was transferred to a newly formed engineer company that shipped to the Philippines. There, on Luzon, he served out his last year in uniform as a depot engineer. Now age 89 and still active in the day-to-day running of Reynolds Construction, the company he built.

My baby brother enlisted in the Army in 2011. He was with me when I was notified of my husband Sgt. Arthur Mora’s death in Iraq in 2005. We have a great bond and I miss him more than anything now that he’s in the Army. You can imagine my heartache when he made the decision to serve his country. This was his decision though and we as a family support him wholeheartedly. In September 2011, he deployed to Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and was out of country for the rest of 2011. When he came home, I finally got my welcome home hug that I was deprived of back in 2005, and it was amazing! Currently, he is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, as a military police officer.
