hree rivers, five countries, a 700 km-long green belt, nearly a million hectares of one of the most important European river areas and countless experiences, especially for fans of active holidays. That is how we could describe UNESCO's Cross-border Mura-Drava-Danube biosphere reserve in short, also known as the European Amazon, which stretches through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia. Yes, we are incredibly proud that the reserve, which will become the largest crossborder protected area in Europe under UNESCO's protection, passes through six Croatian counties, including the ViroviticaPodravina County. We headed out to explore that part of it, so we could share that green magic with you first-hand. Here's the story...
