The car show is fast approaching, but we still have to make it through July. First of all we will be meeting on July 21 for our annual picnic meeting. This year through the generous offer of John and Lisa Milton we will met at their home at 890 Jones Road, Vestal. For you who might not know how to get there, the easiest route is from the Vestal Parkway, turn south onto Arlington Ave. At the stop sign continue on Tracy Creek Rd. to left turn on Jones Rd. The Milton’s drive is on the left with an antique gas pump at the entrance. We will be meeting at

6:00P.M. The Miltons felt we might be better off at their home than at the Trout Ponds as they are less apt to have annoying bugs as well as they have shelter if we should have rain as our luck seems to run for the last three picnics. Our participation in the Strawberry Parade resulted in 12 cars, 6 from Tioga Region and 6 from Crusin’ Buddies. We also had, through the generous efforts of Jim Meade a booth at the Festival where we displayed and sold tickets for the peddle car and tool box. Thanks to the efforts of George

Simon on Friday and the Holmses on Saturday we sold $370.00 worth of tickets and now are in the black for both prizes. The mini tour that we made last month resulted in 12 cars in our parade to B&B Automotive in Newark Valley, including one couple who might be prospective new members. We will be busy in the next month and a half preparing for the show and need much help selling adds, trophy sponsorship and just plain grunt work for the car show, we need all your help!

State Legislation Postponed

The above legislations were all Introduced many years ago as an incentive for new inductees to our hobby. Each would add to the attraction for those who are thinking of joining our forces. The benefit of each would increase the number of cars in our state that are dedicated to our efforts, and add to the preservation of our automotive history. It is time for our representatives in Albany to remember that it was us who put them in their position and they need to give consideration to our program. The antique car hobby adds not thousands but millions to the economy each year, our voice should be recognized by those we elected!

July Fest George Simon is asking that any member of Iroquois, Tioga Regions, and Crusin, Buddies who can or want to appear for the July Fest in Binghamton let

him know so he can inform Ron Sall of our intent. The dates are Friday 7/11 from 2to 6 PM, Saturday7/12 from 12 to 5 PM, and Sunday 7/13 from 12 to 4

PM. The location is between Boscovs and Subway. George needs to know how many are going by July 9th for inclusion.

I get lots of flyers in the mail for car events so I am using them for fillers in this newsletter. Hope you find them to be of interest.
