At last I can assure you that today will be a day without a drop of rain. Northerly winds overnight have guided dry air our way, and so we can expect hours of strong sunshine boosting afternoon temperatures to near 80. Indeed, the sun now is as strong as it is on July 20. Southerly winds will return over the next few days with higher humidity and the risk for more thunderstorms. Temperatures will likely trend well above normal through the holiday weekend. The outlook for June, July and August is showing both rainfall and temperatures to be near normal. So please don't despair. We might be in for a really nice summer this year. - Tom Clark
