High Honors, Sixth Grade — Sixth graders at The Heritage School making High Honors for the 2012-2013 school year were recognized at honors day May 30. The Jefferson Cup, which is awarded to the student in each grade with the highest grade point average, was presented to sixth grader Taaseen Khan. The Omni Award was presented to seniors Garrett Jones and Carrie Riley by the Head of The Heritage School, J.P. Watson. The Heritage School faculty selects a panel of finalists, and Upper School students vote by secret ballot for one girl and one boy. The criteria for the Omni Award are: setting a good example for others, compassion for others, outstanding scholarship, participation in school activities, and being representative of all for which The Heritage School stands.

The Middle School Social Studies Award was presented to Michael Griffin by Middle School social studies teacher Don Brown.
