and includes a collection of airplanes, cars, clothing, and other items relevant to the era. Plus, the new Barnstormers Grill is open with room enough for parties, banquets, and corporate events. Plans to construct additional buildings are underway. The museum’s aircraft collection includes a 1917 Curtiss JN-4, a 1928 Curtiss Robin, a 1930 6L Stearman, a 1940 Douglas DC-3A, a 1941 PT-17 Stearman, and a Waco YMF-5. In fact, you can experience the thrill of a lifetime by taking a ride on the Waco, an open cockpit biplane with seats for two people in the front cockpit while the pilot flies from the cockpit behind.
Fifteen- to 20-minute rides are sold by appointment. Or, celebrate Vintage Day on June 7, or the 8th Annual Veterans Day event on Nov. 8. Located at 349 Jonathan’s Roost Road, the museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Call 770-467-9490 or visit www.peachstateaero.com.
