REGISTRATION INFORMATION The Woods Academy is happy to announce a number of teacher-led summer camps that will take place on campus starting right after school ends in June. A list of summer offerings is included in this SUMMER 2017 Catalog. Please review the following registration information: REGISTER ONLINE! Online registration is available on our Summer at The Woods page.
ALL students must be registered online in order to participate in a summer camp at The Woods. REFUND POLICY Refund requests for SUMMER 2017 will only be granted up until FRIDAY, MAY 5, 2017. The Woods will determine if an activity needs to be canceled by this date. NO REFUNDS or CREDITS will be granted after Friday, May 5, 2017. QUESTIONS? Questions about a Camp? MORE IMPORTANT SUMMER INFORMATION
When registering and selecting summer camps for your child, please remember to use your child’s Fall 2017 grade level.
The school will make a determination by Friday, May 5, 2017 on whether or not to cancel a program. Please register your child before this date in order to have an accurate number for each program.
Absolutely no refunds or credits will be issued after Friday May 5, 2017 unless The Woods Academy cancels the program.

⟡ ALL-STAR SPORTS SUMMER CAMP
Cost: $325 per week
Offered by Erin Ricca, Tom Parker Entering Grades: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Dates: 6/12/2017 – 6/16/2017 Time: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Days of the Week: M,T,W,Th,F

This camp is available to Woods students and Non-Woods students.
The All-Star Sports Summer Camp offers action and non-stop fun and game play all day long. All-Star Sports Camp is being offered by Coach Erin Ricca. Sports Camp sessions are for boys and girls entering grades 1st through 5th grade, of all skill levels and abilities. Campers will be grouped according to age. Focus is on individual skill development, the importance of fundamentals and the development of a healthy team attitude. Campers take part in a variety of competitions and fundamental drill work. This camp also features a skills competition to give campers an opportunity to find which skills they need to improve to make them a more complete player. The following sports will be offered at camp; soccer, street hockey, basketball, T-ball, team handball, tennis, flag football, and backyard games such as kickball, capture the flag, and hoop ball. This is a great camp for the beginner athlete as well as for the more competitive athlete. Snacks will be provided but please send in a lunch with your child each day except Friday. A pizza lunch will be provided on the last day of camp. A minimum of 12 students is needed to have this camp. A maximum of 30 students can enroll. ⟡ ART CAMP - LOWER SCHOOL I Offered by Charmaine Taverner Entering Grades: 1, 2, 3, 4 Dates: 6/12/2017 – 6/16/2017 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Days of the Week: M,T,W,Th,F
Cost: $250 per week + $50 material fee (directly to Mrs. Taverner)
This camp is available to Woods students and Non-Woods students. Students entering grades 1 – 4 are invited to join Mrs. Taverner for this first week of Lower School Art Camp! Invent new ways of making art and craft by coming on a visual and tactile adventure. It is a great opportunity to create, explore, and exercise your imagination. Have fun discovering your creative ability as you experiment with two-and-three dimensional media. Campers will focus on a new project each day and conclude the week with an array of masterpieces. A minimum of 10 students is needed to have this camp. A maximum of 20 students can enroll. Additional Fee: An additional $50 materials fee is due directly to Mrs. Taverner on the first day of camp.

This camp is available to Woods students and Non-Woods students. Students entering grades 1-5 are invited to join Ms. Talbot for a week of yoga! Learn yoga poses, create a yoga journal, play outside, make crafts, and enjoy the chance to relax through yoga and mindfulness. By the end of the week, each child will have created a yoga journal of poses. No yoga experience is necessary. Just bring an open mind, a beach towel, and a yoga mat (if you have one)! This camp is available to Woods and Non-Woods students. A minimum of 8 students is needed to have this camp. A maximum of 15 students can enroll.

This camp is available to Woods students and Non-Woods students. REMINDER: Camp will NOT be held the week of July 3 – 7, 2017. Koa's Multi-Sport Summer Camp is proud to be at The Woods Academy again for the summer of 2017! Offering eight different one-week sessions - June 19 - August 18, 2017 (NO Camp the week of July 3-7) -our camp provides a safe, fun atmosphere for campers from Pre-K through 6th grade. Camps are staffed by KOA coaches and instructors, many of whom are former high level collegiate and professional athletes. Staff are background checked and licensed by the State of Maryland. This camp is available to Woods students and Non-Woods students. SIG Day programs are 3-week academic summer camps for gifted and talented students ages 512. The program combines captivating courses with social, cultural, and recreational opportunities for a truly engaging summer. SIG offers a wide variety of courses in Humanities, Math, Science, Technology, Multi-Disciplinary, Visual, and Performing Arts, and Fitness and recreation. Session dates are June 26 - July 14, 2017.
