Kids help raise funds Wanaka came up with $3200 for the Blind Foundation Red Puppy Appeal over two days last week. The biggest single contributor was Wanaka Primary School which raised $480 with a coin trail. Teacher Kitt South invited guide dog puppy trainer Lorraine Knowles to visit the school with her puppy Geffrey. Kitt has been teaching her five and six-year-old students about pets - including working pets. Other visitors have included search and rescue dogs and local vet Gary Walker.
