Our location offers the best of both worlds – the city and the mountains, and is just 2 hours from New York City and 2 hours from Philadelphia. The Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre International Airport is just a fifteen minute drive from campus.

Admission Criteria For Acceptance & Scholarships Undergraduate Admission Requirements: Admission to The University of Scranton is based on a comprehensive review of the following: Common application: scranton.edu/apply; Application deadline: March 1st Official transcripts (with certified English translation) showing all secondary and post-secondary courses and grades Official results of the TOEFL, IELTS, SAT I or ACT (you must submit at least one of these tests) • The University of Scranton Codes: SAT and TOEFL: 2929 ACT: 3736 Letter of recommendation from an instructor Official certificate of finances (official bank statement or bank letter) Enrollment decision form due June 1st

Scholarships When you are accepted, our Scholarship Committee will automatically review your academic record for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships range from $8,000 – $20,000 USD and are renewable on an annual basis for a maximum of four years of undergraduate study.

Admission Criteria For Acceptance & Graduate Assistantships Graduate Admission Requirements: Admission to The University of Scranton is based on a comprehensive review of the following: Online application: scranton.edu/gradapply Official academic transcripts from every college/university attended 3 letters of recommendation Official certificate of finances (official bank statement or bank letter) Official proof of English proficiency Applicants to the MBA Program must also submit official GMAT scores. Students with 3 or more years of professional, full-time work experience may be eligible to complete a case study in lieu of the GMAT. Application and all official documents due: June 1st for admission into the fall term. November 1st for admission into the spring term. March 1st for admission into the summer term.

Graduate Assistantships Graduate students have the opportunity to gain employment as Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants or Graduate Assistants. The assistantship enables the student to pursue a graduate education and strengthen the quality of their educational experience. It also helps the University develop the quality of its graduate programs. The student will be awarded a tuition scholarship as well as a stipend.


English Proficiency Applicants that are from non-English speaking countries are required to submit proof of English proficiency. This proof can be achieved in a number of ways: Submission of an official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 80 on the Internet-based test (IBT). Submission of an official IELTS (International English Language Testing System) minimum score of overall band 6.5. Program completion at a participating English language center in the U.SA.

International Student Services The Office of International Student and Scholar Services is there for you throughout your time at Scranton. The office provides an individualized experience made up of: Orientation Advising – immigration, non-academic Programming – clubs and activities Services – Airport pick-up, Social Security assistance, driver’s license assistance And much more
