PANHANDLE ENIRONMENTAL PARTNERSHIP
In 2010, the Panhandle Environmental Partnership used Texas Recycles Day (November 15th) as the jump-start for their monthlong e-Recycling Event. That event diverted 65,000 pounds of electronic material from the regional landfills. The event was made possible by an anonymous corporate sponsor who paid for shipping and processing through ECS Refining out of Terrell, Texas. In April, ECS Refining gave a presentation at our Recycling and Baling Workshop on the benefits of recycling electronics, including the ability to reclaim rareEarth metals.
