The P2 SUPERLIGHT core was built for a high performance return of energy in a lightweight and versatile core. From razor sharp turns on demand, to huge ollies, this core was engineered with all-terrain technical freestyle riding in mind. Comprised of an even mix of poplar and paulownia, it is strong enough to meet the needs of the Black Death customer while saving considerable weight.
These special cores have been reforestation certified by a leading environmental agency for nature and habitat sustainability. Constructed with the highest grade poplar woodgrain extending from tip to tail, the RFC SUSTAINABLE DUAL core incorporates two strips of beech along the insert rows for increased core strength. They yield superior performance characteristics for energy and stability, and offer the environmentally conscious consumer a sustainable alternative.
The DS SELECT core was built for next level performance. Lightweight, with no irregularities or finger joints, the DS core is constructed with the highest quality poplar and beech woods. Beech is placed along the rails, enabling the rider to hold a solid edge while carving, eliminating chatter at high speeds and contributing more power to ollies and landings. Poplar strips are fused with the beech sections for flex consistency and vibration absorption. The DS SELECT offers a consistent, comfortable, and powerful ride in a certified sustainable full wood core. The RFC SUSTAINABLE core is the O.G. eco core. Its proven track record offers an environmentally conscious consumer a sustainable alternative without sacrificing any energy or stability expected from a CAPiTA. These cores have been reforestation certified by a leading environmental agency for nature and habitat sustainability just like our other RFC cores, but made with a single species poplar grain for a smooth, consistent ride. Extending from edge to edge and tip to tail the wood grain has no knots or finger joints, enhancing response.
Engineered for ‘anytime, anywhere’ performance reliability, the SS SELECT provides a perfect balance between energy and stability. Vertically laminated poplar is lightweight and has a long grain orientation. There are no irregularities or finger joints allowing for consistent flex throughout the deck.
The WDT core was designed to give jibbers and park riders the softer flex patterns they want without sacrificing durability. Short for ‘Wood Derived Technology,’ the patented process of pressure bonding wood composite material retains the classic feel of a full wood core board while increasing flex values. Engineered for freestyle, park, and street rail boards the WDT core has high elasticity characteristics surrounding low-density wood fibers. This balance provides a new realm of lightweight, soft flexing boards, with a damp ride and dependable durability.
In order to control the torsional and longitudinal flex of our boards, we use perimeter-weighted glass lamination to ensure the proper resin to glass ratio is accurately calculated. This process eliminates potential dry spots, preventing delamination and insuring no weight is added from excess resin. All CAPiTA boards are made with one of the following glass configurations.
The CUSTOM WEAVE – BASALT glass configuration consists of perimeterweighted fiberglass placed on both the base and topside of the core with an exclusive epoxy resin system. This glass configuration borrowed from the marine industry yields stronger, stiffer qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return. For The Black Snowboard of Death we’ve added basalt wings from inserts to contact points for retained power and pop. Originating from solidified volcanic lava, basalt is an abundant resource long known for it’s thermal properties, strength, and durability. The SPECIAL BLEND EVO TECH configuration is an optimum blend of triaxial and biaxial glass weaves. The triax is placed on the topside maximizing torsional rigidity. The biaxial glass is situated underneath the core along with four independent basalt load bars placed vertically to enhance pop and power in a reverse camber configuration. SPECIAL BLEND EVO TECH is a wet lay-up process that uses a polyurethane component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding high technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory working environment as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics as other factory resins used around the world.

The E CLASS also utilizes the exclusive CUSTOM WEAVE epoxy resin system. Derived from marine standards, the main focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. The Stairmaster EXTREME retains the same high energy Park Perfect™ longitudinal and torsional flex it’s known for, while the all new Totally FK’N Awesome series features dual 30mm carbon fiber wings from inserts to contact points for retained power and added pop.
The FORM 6-C BLACK glass configuration consists of 612g/m2 biaxial fiberglass laminated in conjunction with dual fleece additives to increase energy and durability. This progressive glass configuration is laid up wet by hand during the lamination process. All of these boards feature multiple shape specific 30mm carbon fiber beams to increase power output from the boards shape.
The FORM 6 glass configuration consists of 612g/m2 biaxial fiberglass placed on both the base and topside of the construction at zero and 90 degree angles. This configuration results in a board that initiates turns easily, while retaining the pop necessary to handle variable conditions. The FORM 6 glass configuration is laid up wet by hand during the lamination process. These boards feature carbon kevlar stringers to further increase torsional rigidity and response.
Engineered to compliment the WDT core construction, the 420 configuration consists of 370 grams of e-glass in the zero direction and 50 grams of e-glass in the 90 direction. It’s pre-cured for consistency and exits the mold with a high yield of energy memory.

TECH FEATURES IV BASE MATERIALS
There are two basic types of base material used in our industry: extruded and sintered. If you don’t like to wax often, but you do repair your base when necessary, extruded is for you. If you are more interested in going faster, longer, sintered is your base.
SIDECUT
This attribute is the arc on which your board turns. All CAPiTA boards are made with one of three sidecuts
Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Base
These bases are created by taking pellets of ultra-high-molecular-weight Polyethylene and compressing them through heat and pressure. The miniscule spaces left behind absorb wax and allow for extended periods of high speed shredding as the wax wicks to the surface while you ride. This prevents your base from drying out and keeps the surface feeling freshly waxed throughout the day. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and the overwhelming choice of pro snowboarders worldwide.
NEW AGE DIRECTIONAL
A true progressive sidecut consists of two or more radii blended together to accommodate the three stages of a turn. They provide easy turn initiation, while offering greater control and stability throughout the turn, and maximum power when exiting. Our New Age Directional sidecuts incorporate Death Grip™ – a reverse sidecut arc in the midsection of the board. Due to a reduced effective edge as a result of hybrid camber shapes, this reverse camber arc provides a point of contact to retain consistency throughout the turn.
RADIAL
Radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.
RADICAL TAPER
Radical Taper was engineered by CAPiTA specifically for deep powder riding, this radial sidecut is complimented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.
FLEX RATINGS
Technology integrated into snowboard construction affects many characteristics of a board’s performance. Flex, along with weight, stability, energy and other factors come into play when considering whether a board is right for you. Flex may also be the most important because it will determine how you will be able to manipulate your board on snow. Soft, flexible boards are great for jibbing and making your snowboard do what you want, when you want. They’re easy to ride and very forgiving. Stiffer boards have more pop, more energy, and more stability at high speeds but they require more effort and skill from the rider.

These bases have very similar qualities to the Rotation Sintered speed base, but are built using 100-percent recycled sintered speed base material. This is another technology that provides the highest performance while allowing CAPiTA to be at the forefront of responsible manufacturing.
We use a classic, time proven, extruded base for two of our classic, time proven, board shapes. True to all extruded bases, these are low maintenance, user friendly bases that perform well with or without your constant waxing and attention. The HMC Extruded is a special “high molecular composition” base that is more dense, durable, and abrasion resistant than standard extruded bases. The result is a hard, fast, and reliable base that will get you where you want to go, and get there fast.
All boards in this catalog are rated on a scale from 1 to 10. The number given is the estimated resistance the board would provide to the average customer.

The High Transparent Extruded base features an altered molecular composition allowing more vibrant graphic options while maintaining the low maintenance and technical benefits of extrusion.
Extruded base material responds differently than sintered due to its lower molecular weight. This type of base is the easiest to maintain and excels in park attacks and urban jibbing. It repairs easily and when waxed, extruded base material will provide excellent performance.

With the level of hype surrounding the reverse camber revival, it’s clear that this snowboard design theory is here to stay. However, it’s how that theory is actually applied that will differentiate board designs and make one ride better than another. With Flat Kick design technology we’ve tightened the profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height. This is a key area that influences the tempo and feel of turn initiation. With traditional larger tip and tail arcs, the loaded camber contributes to a board’s acceleration into a turn. On reverse camber boards the contact points are elevated, removing this camber contribution. As a result, the same traditional tip and tail radii would make the board feel sluggish. Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. This allows you to have the shorter effective edge of a forgiving, easy to ride, reverse camber snowboard that is still responsive and quick edge to edge.

Reverse camber is the hottest trend our industry has seen in a long time for one simple reason: It makes snowboarding easier. We like to say it’s perfect for hangovers, ‘cause after a big night we usually don’t want to try very hard. We certainly don’t want to catch an edge and make our headache worse, and we definitely don’t want to scorpion. With reverse camber there are no scorpions, no snake bites, no sore wrists, cold butts, weird ailments, or altercations. Just you, doing more, by doing less. How is this possible? With traditional boards, energy must be exerted to flex the board to a point where the camber is flattened before a turn is initiated. At this point the board can turn along its natural arc, and the loaded camber puts pressure on the contact points of the nose and tail allowing them to cut through the terrain. The loading and unloading of camber creates energy and acceleration into and out of each turn while providing stability and control in the mid section. This is why cambered boards are awesome. They give you power and control. If you’re a competitive pipe rider, a true all terrain variable condition rider, or a balls to the wall speed demon, you want a time tested cambered snowboard for sure. Most of the top pros still ride cambered snowboards, and we believe cambered boards are the right choice for many riders. We have retained a focus on this customer and still offer over half of our line in traditional camber including legendary boards like the “NAS”, a two time top five Transworld Snowboarding Good Wood winner. NBD.
But let’s get back to hangovers. If you are riding hard pack, groomed runs, or terrain parks, cambered boards can kick your ass. Especially if they’re too stiff for you. Our reverse camber Flat Kick boards make your life better by eliminating the need to load camber. The base is level for various lengths depending on the version and intent of the board. This creates stability for going straight and fast on a flat base. The contact points are elevated, and each Flat Kick tip and tail radius provides effortless turn initiation. For beginner to intermediate hard pack riders this means an easy to ride board that turns on a dime, and never catches an edge.
