And you will custom-build your course of study, choosing from more than 92,000 possible combinations of 26 majors and 55 minors to match your individual passions. PEAK is a challenging curriculum, but it maximizes student choice and provides the versatility to thrive the rest of your life. With at least one major and three minors, your personalized education will give you knowledge and skills in multiple fields. Adaptability is exactly what 21st century employers are looking for, so your PEAK degree—combined with abundant opportunities for internships and leadership training—gives you a competitive edge in the job market. SOCIAL SCIENCES & HISTORY Discover the past and understand the present Understanding people, cultures and relationships is vital to success in any career. Stretch your mind and exercise your creative side by studying philosophy, language, music, theatre and art through the Fine Arts & Humanities Peak. This peak offers limitless opportunities to pursue your creative passions or discover new interests. HILL ARY BODNAR, PEAK Major: History COLLEGE OF IDAHO SENIOR PEAK minors: Education, Natural Science, Art History “ I came to college with history in mind as a major, but with a lot of other interests as well. PEAK lets you explore those interests so much further. Each of the four PEAKs teaches you different skills, which makes you more knowledgeable and a better learner. ” ERIC SPENCER, PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH “ The thing I like about PEAK is the degree to which the majors and minors coordinate with each other—often in ways you would not expect. It isn’t about specializing in a particular field to get ‘Career X.’ It’s about encouraging broad, integrated, big-picture thinkers who see connections between things and therefore are able to see beyond one narrow option. ” Hear more from Hillary, Professor Spencer and other C of I students, faculty and alumni at Coyote Portraits: collegeofidaho.edu/coyoteportraits Higher or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
