Players to watch ANTONIO WIMBUSH #14 RUNNING BACK/DEF. BACK
DARRYL ISREAL #32 DEFENSIVE BACK/ RUNNING BACK Probably the Wildcats’ most gritty defender, Isreal may line up at left linebacker, but he is all over the field once the ball is snapped. The talented senior will fill up the box score each time out.
Now a senior, Wimbush may be the most talented player in South Georgia, much less on the Camden roster. A touchdown machine on offense, the 5-foot-71⁄2, 180-pounder was his region’s “Athlete of the Year” in 2013. He will line up at right halfback in the Wildcats’ patented Wing-T and run defenses silly. He puts up numbers on defense, too, both in tackles, sacks and interceptions. Oh, and he returns kicks and punts for good measure.
RYAN JOHNSON #5 RUNNING BACK/D. BACK Camden’s most prolific runner behind Wimbush among the returning players, Johnson will line up on the left of quarterback Antonio Hamilton to give the Cats a tremendous onetwo punch at halfback. Slippery and athletic, Johnson averaged nearly 7 yards per carry in 2013 and returned punts as well.
