YELLOW MOON – LA BALLADE DE LEILA ET LEE YELLOW MOON – THE BALLAD OF LEILA AND LEE [SENSE THE BEAUTY OF SHARED ANGUISH]

Lee is a young rebel who plans to escape his dead-end life by becoming a pimp. Leila is a very quiet Muslim girl who exteriorizes her feelings through self-mutilation. In a headstrong moment, Leila runs off with Lee who has just stabbed his mother’s life partner. As they are on the run across the Highlands of Scotland, Lee eventually tracks down his long-lost father, who has been in hiding for years after committing a murder of his own.

Witness how two starkly different personalities can be joined at the heart by the simple recognition of one another’s anguish. With the wild excitement of a “Bonnie and Clyde” story comes the true emotion of an initiatory quest for a father-son relationship. Strong poetic narration supported by an effective musical score will draw you deeply into a quest for self-preservation that rises to legendary proportions.
