Burdick. He was involved in all aspects of coaching with his main focus recruiting players to the newly formed Big East Conference. The other area he excelled in was film breakdown and scouting reports on all opponents. In his last season at Providence, the defensive unit was ranked 2nd in the Conference in GAA. While at St. Mary's, Simpson worked with Head Coach Chris Hasbrouck. He was involved in all aspects of recruiting and day-to-day operations of the men's lacrosse program. He was instrumental in coordinating the defensive playbook and goaltender instruction. Simpson also managed the substitution box during games.

Prior to his tenure at St. Mary's, Simpson spent three seasons at Marist College. He began his time with the Red Foxes as an assistant coach under the direction of Head Coach Andy Copelan in the fall of 2005. Simpson was elevated to head coach in December of 2005 upon Copelan's departure for Maryland. Simpson directed Marist during the 2006, 2007 and 2008 campaigns as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). During his time at Marist, Simpson was responsible for the daily operations of the program. He served as the offensive coordinator in 2006 and made the transition to defensive coordinator for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The Marist squad made one appearance in the MAAC Final Four under Coach Simpson's guidance in 2006. Simpson's coaching career began at his alma mater, Division III national power-house Salisbury University, where he served as assistant coach for one season (2005). Working with Head Coach Jim Berkman, Simpson was involved in all aspects of game and practice preparation, as well as individual player workouts. As an assistant coach, he helped

guide Salisbury to the NCAA Division III National title (2005). During Simpson's playing career at Salisbury, he helped his team capture the 2003 and 2004 NCAA National Championship and won fourstraight Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships. He played defensive midfield and was a tenacious competitor and leader. Salisbury recorded a 68-8 overall record during Simpson's four-year career (2001-04). Simpson was a team captain in 2004 during Salisbury's run to the national championship. Currently, Simpson is living in Nassau County with his fiancee and is still involved in the game of lacrosse. He was an Assistant Coach this past season at Kings Park High School and helped guide the team to their first winning season in 7 years.
