T’KEYAH WILLIAMS In 2012-13 (Sophomore): T’Keyah saw action in all 31 games, including 24 starts… scored a career-high 20 points and added 11 rebounds versus Rice on 11/17 for her first of four double-doubles of the season…scored 10 points at least 10 times during the season …averaged 6.9 points and 6.7 rebounds. In 2011-12 (Freshman): T’Keyah appeared in all 34 games as a freshman and started in TTU’s final game against Bradley in the WBI Tournament…on the season she tallied 88 points, 82 rebounds and 15 blocks… connected on 30-of-44 shots from the free throw line and also shot 44.6 percent from the field…posted a career-high 10 points against Eastern Illinois in the OVC Tournament (3/2)… tallied at least six rebounds in three games… received TTU’s Most Improved Player Award for her work towards the end of the season. High School: A former teammate of current Golden Eagle center Candace Parson, Williams provided a solid presence at the post position not only for Dillard High School, but also as a member of Team Breakdown under head coach Pat Gajardo...under coach Marcia Pinder, Williams averaged a careerhigh 10 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocks per game during her junior season as she led Dillard to a class 5A State Championship in 2010 and 2011...Williams ranked 74th in the nation at her position by ESPN’s Hoopgurlz, Brandon Clay’s Jump Off Plus and Mike T. White’s All Star Girls Report also ranked her nationally among the best... was a five-time Defensive Player of the Week during her sophomore season...participated in several track and field events including the long jump, 200m dash and the 4x100 relay.
