Corn mazes, hayrides and pumpkins at Murray Family Farms BY TEHACHAPI NEWS Murray Family Farms provides a variety of activities year-round, but for the month of October, gets a fall-themed makeover for its annual October Fun Fest. The farm, which normally sports a petting zoo, hayrides, fruit and berry picking and other activities, adds a whole slew of fall harvest and Halloween-oriented attractions. The popular corn mazes are back, and this year they revolve around dinosaurs and spiders. Guests can wander through a

giant maze of growing corn filled with fun facts and activities. The farm's petting zoo, Auntie Annabelle’s Animal Farm, has also been completely renovated and now features a new walk-through aviary, frog pond and peacock house. Three new interactive games will be featured during the 2013 October Fun Fest, where kids can have fun while learning about nature and farming while playing the Funky Pumpkin, Finger Funnel and Fruit Punch games.

There is also a kiddy maze featuring Spookley the Square Pumpkin, where kids can learn about “being square in a round world.” Spookley is the official “spokespumpkin” for the Society of Bullying Prevention Center.
