Only three TCU players have totaled at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in the same game. Lorie Butler-Rayford became the latest member of the club with 30 points (on 13-of-15 shooting) and 15 boards on Dec. 18, 2007 during a 97-63 upset win over No. 22 Oklahoma State. Sandora Irvin reached the feat Dec. 9, 2004 against Oklahoma with 32 points and 18 rebounds, while Janice Dziuk became the first Frog to do it on Feb. 17, 1990 against Rice (32 points, 17 boards).

TRIPLE-DOUBLES & DOUBLE-DOUBLES

In the history of TCU women’s basketball, only two Lady Frog have ever notched a triple-double. TCU’s 639th game at the NCAA Division I level and 788th overall saw Sandora Irvin tally 20 points, 18 rebounds and an NCAA single-game record 16 blocked shots against UAB on Jan. 16, 2005. Earlier that season on Dec. 9, 2004, Natasha Lacy came up one point short of accomplishing the feat against Oklahoma with nine points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Helena Sverrisdottir recorded the second triple-double in school history during a Jan. 2, 2010 home win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She totaled 17 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists during the 78-74 victory. In her final outing in a Horned Frog uniform, Sverrisdottir tallied 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists against Oral Roberts in 2011. Three opposing players have notched the rare achievement. The first came during TCU’s initial season at the Division I level at Arkansas on Jan. 11, 1983, from Amanda Holley. She scored 23 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and recorded 12 steals in the 105-44 Lady Razorback victory. The next triple-double against the Lady Frogs did not occur until nine years later at Texas Tech on Feb. 5, 1992. Women’s basketball legend Sheryl Swoopes had 19 points, 18 boards and 12 assists for the Lady Raiders. Cornelia Gayden of LSU was the last person to put up a triple-double versus TCU, doing so Jan. 2, 1995, with 43 points, 15 rebounds and 10 helpers at the Portland (Maine) Shootout. When it comes to double-doubles, no Lady Frog even compares to Irvin’s record 65 in 127 games. During her junior year, she exploded for 23 in 30 games to lead Conference USA and ended the season with 15 consecutive double-double performances. As a senior, Irvin tacked on 20 more to her career total. Janice Dziuk is the next closest Lady Frog with 22 in 106 games.
