Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations 3rd Season • Ashland University (2002)

oe Monaco begins his third season as Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations at TCU where he is primarily responsible for men’s basketball, men’s golf and web services.

Monaco came to TCU after three years at The University of Texas-Pan American where he served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations and Director of Athletics Media Relations. Monaco has served on the media staff for the 2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four and 2007 NCAA Men’s Basketball Sweet Sixteen. Monaco and his wife, Mindi, reside in Arlington with their dog, Jaxon. Monaco earned his master’s degree in sports communications and journalism in 2002 and his master’s degree in sport education in 2004 - both from Ashland.

Evan Spoon

Marketing Assistant 2nd Season • North Greenville University (2009)

van Spoon begins his second season as an assistant with the TCU Athletics Marketing Office where he oversees marketing responsibilities for men’s basketball and women’s soccer.

Spoon graduated from North Greenville University where he was a two-sport athlete in soccer and tennis for the Crusaders. During his time at North Greenville, Sppon was a member of the Sports Management Society. A 2009 graduate of North Greenville University, Spoon earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business administration. The Rock Hill, S.C., native now resides in Fort Worth.
