During the 2008-09 campaign, nine athletics programs finished the season ranked in the top-40 in the country in football, baseball, men’s and women’s golf, rifle, equestrian, men’s and women’s tennis and indoor track and field.

The TCU men’s golf program recorded its 20th consecutive NCAA Central Regional Championship appearance and became only one of four current programs in the country to achieve this feat.
