By PADRAIG HOARE IN PASSAGE THE mother-of-three found dead after a fire in her Passage West home is understood to have been stabbed before a fire was deliberately started in the house. The home of Olivia Dunlea-O’Brien at Pembroke Crescent in Passage West remained sealed off this morning as gardaí mounted a murder investigation following her tragic death.
Passage home sealed off as gardaí launch murder inquiry A man was being questioned at Togher garda station after being arrested in Passage West at 11pm last night on suspicion of murdering the mum at her home in the early hours of yesterday morning. Her death came after she returned from a night out with friends in the nearby Rochestown Inn on Saturday night. Her three children — two boys and a
girl aged between nine and 12 — lived with her, but were staying with their father from whom she was separated, on Saturday night. Neighbours raised the alarm when they saw a blaze in Olivia’s home after 1am yesterday but did not realise she was in the house at the time. Her body was discovered by fire fighters in an upstairs room. ● See pages two and three for more.
