The Tarleton Texan football team has established itself as a national contender on a yearly basis. The Texans have claimed four division titles in the last 12 seasons while claiming two Lone Star Conference Championships (2001 and 2009). Fans flock to the excitement in Memorial Stadium, averaging more than 5,500 fans at each contest last season. There were over 6,500 fans that attended last season’s home-opening win over No. 4-ranked Midwestern State last season. The Texans have a 45-19 record in Memorial Stadium since 2001, and the program has received national attention in the national polls over the last several seasons. Winning is no longer a phenomenon, it’s a tradition. And it’s something to get EXCITED about!
