20. THE PROPER USE OF THE ANTIBIOTICS - WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT IT AND WHAT ARE THE IMPACTING FACTORS?

Abstract Background Nowadays, the integrated management of the pediatric problems consists on parent’s health education in the aspect of development support and children outpatient treatment. The most defining components of the health educational level of the parents are the education and their socio economic level. In this study our purpose was to evaluate the above mentioned factors and their impact on parent’s educational knowledge towards the non abusive use of antibiotics.
2. To determine the impact of the socio-economic classification and the education level on the sensibility level over the use of antibiotics. Material and method This study was realized in the regional hospital of Vlora in the paediatric ward during the time period May through July 2012. In this study we randomly selected 59 admitted children. The socio –economic level of the children families was done according to the E-SEC (European Socio-economic Groups), based on the self declaration of the father’s employment status and determination of mothers’ education level was done according to their self declaration (elementary, high and university level). Their knowledge level of the use of antibiotics was evaluated using a selfadministered questionnaire filled in by mothers of the admitted children. This questionnaire included 15 questions which in general evaluated both the sensibility of the required level of the right answers of 0-5 questions, good 6-10 and very good 11-15 right answers
Aim To evaluate the impact of socio economic level of the parents and families and the mother’s education level on the degree of the health sensibility toward the proper concepts of the non abusive use of antibiotics. Objectives 1. To determine the socio-economic classification of the families that participated in the study and the mother’s education level. 58
