Welcome to our 2017 Bull Sale, what an encouraging time for cattleman with Char cross calves! Nobody knows our cowherd and bull pen better than us so we thought we may as well manage this sale ourselves, so that’s what we are doing. We are still striving to produce the same top quality breeding bull and replacement females as we always have and have added new walking bulls and some top end A I sires. We did not include footnotes for the bulls this year, we hope their presentation will speak for themselves. Once again we are feeding a TMR ration as we have found it to work really well, the bull pen is free moving and muscular. Dave Moffatt of 3M Beef still balances our ration for us, and is here periodically throughout the winter. Our bulls are not fat and we do not trim feet, we think this is a testament of our genetics and our feeding program. Unasssisted calving is what every producer wants. Our females vary several hundred pounds from our smallest to our largest cow, therefore the birth weights at 6% of the Dam’s weight should vary. We want calving ease but we do not want puny calves because they don’t have enough weight at weaning time. Our heaviest calves are up and sucking in no time, even on the coldest days in January. We don’t believe in gimmicks to get you to buy a bull here, what we can offer is a good bull that if looked after should last quite a few years. We do offer a volume discount incentive to show our appreciation to our customers that buy several bulls here. Power Point Sale
Be sure to come early to view the bulls at your leisure as they will not be entering the sale ring. It is much less stressful for the bulls and the people involved this way.

Free delivery to a point in SK, AB and MB for purchases of 2 or more bulls.
Delayed Delivery
We will keep the bulls free until May 15th, then at a nominal fee of $100 per month. Bulls staying at the farm must be insured. If this is a problem please talk to us.

We have used Sunburst for several years now on the heifers. He always sires an impressive crop of calves! A son has even been a high seller here and a daughter was Grand Champion heifer calf at the summer showcase pen show in Saskatoon last summer. Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable immediately after the sale in Canadian funds. All settlements must be made with the sale clerks before cattle will be released. The right of property will not pass until final payment is made. Bidding: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone their bids and instructions to the auctioneer or special representatives. Bid must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale. Disputes: Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision is final. Announcements: Announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a responsible length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured. Certificate of Registration: Each registered animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made.

Delivery: Assistance will be given in making delivery after the sale. This purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller, but will be as soon as possible after the sale, at the buyer’s risk. Breeder Guarantee: Bulls - Should any bull fourteen months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. Exception Guarantee: In a case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers, neither the auctioneer or sellers assume any responsibility, disclaim and liability, legal and otherwise, in this event of accident or loss of property.
