Parks and Recreation The Apple Cabin features about the same things as its sister cabin — two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, heating and cooling systems, and a living room. Also, the cabin has Wi-Fi Internet access, he added.

The trails are open to ATVs and motorcycles and closed to large four-wheel vehicles and dune buggies. Riding hours are restricted to from dawn to dusk, but primitive camping is allowed. Helmets are required for all riders.

Cabin rental fees are $65 per night or $425 per week, due at checkin. A $100 refundable damage/cleanup deposit is due at booking. Reservations may be made up to one year in advance. Call the conservation center at (641) 673-9327 for reservations.

There are no daily use or camping fees, but all riders must display a valid Iowa OHV sticker. Out-of-state riders can buy stickers at any retail outlet that sells Iowa hunting or fishing licenses.

Other improvements have been made at Eveland Access. The Sheets Addition to Eveland Access has 18 campsites equipped with electrical hookups for RVs or campers. The Eveland Access park features a playground that is a Center Stage Play System design and it has a sand volleyball court that is open to the public.

Lake Keomah State Park Lake Keomah State Park is nestled in the woods about six miles east of Oskaloosa just off Highway 92. It has 366 acres of beautiful woods and water centered on the 83-acre man-made Lake Keomah. Also, the small town of Keomah Village is nestled along its shoreline.

Bluff Creek ORV Park The Bluff Creek Off Road Vehicle Park is located just south of Eveland Access and covers 300 acres of diverse terrain with more than 20 miles of trails. The park is owned and maintained by the Iowa Partners of the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council.
