At first glance, the new MicroScan appears in similar design as the know Con-Evator & Mini-Feed controls, which is also fully intentional.

HIGH PERFORM THROUGH LOGISTICS
Labotek chosen as supplier for a new central material supply system at Siepe GmbH, handling granules up to 5000 kg/h Siepe GmbH, founded in 1878, is a family-owned company with 135 years of experience in producing industrial and consumer packaging of both metal and plastic. A wide range of products, supplies most of the leading enterprises of the chemical and lacquer/varnish industries in Germany and Europe. To meet the increasing demand for innovative and cost effective packaging, Siepe GmbH expanded its production facilities in Kerpen-Sindorf, 2013. ”A shift to a low-wage location abroad, were not in question” - says the managing director mr. Josef Siepe. To supply the 25 new blow molding machines, a central material handling system were planned, as per hour up to 5000 kg of granules to be processed. In the design of the material handling system, security of supply, energy efficiency, compact tube packages and flexible material handling were main factors.

A special feature of the Labotek is the vacuum valves are not installed on the vacuum receivers, but directly on the vacuum pipe system. Thus, the weight of each vacuum receiver is significantly reduced, which makes handling and cleaning easy and secure. The system is equipped with Labonet 12” touch-screen control, including several slave panels which is highly configurable and allows easy modular expansion of the system. More than 3 km aluminiun piping has been installed, using stainless steel for all bends. Laboteks unique pipe supports enables a smooth and good looking installation.

We had a definite need for a central vacuum system to automate our materials handling and centralise our material storage. Our scope for a central vacuum
system was very specific. We tended the project to several firms capable of meeting our requirements and after a couple of revised quotes and a reference site visit to Sistema Plastics we decided to order the Labotek system from Fleming Dynamics. Fleming Dynamics project manager was professional and efficient and the initial installation for 12 machines was completed in 10 days. Since then, we have added
another 5 machines to the system, the modular design of the Labotek system made this a simple exercise. We have significantly reduced noise, dust, maintenance, contamination, material wastage and increased floor space around the larger machines which each used to have a material pallet. Overall the system has performed well and met or exceeded expectations with an easy to use touchscreen
interface and simple operation that has only required routine maintenance to valves and filters. We are very happy with our system and are looking forward to adding to it in the future by adding more machines. Thanks to the team @ Tekplas Ltd

BRUSHLESS Labotek has expanded the Mini-Feed series with the brushless Mini-Feed 120 BL The unit is featuring the same design as the existing Mini-Feed 15, 30 & 60, however offers a maximum loading capacity of 120 kg/h. Owing to the brushless motor design, the Mini-Feed 120 BL will

NEW EMPLOYEE In order to strengthen our support and service, we are pleased to announce that Mads Lejboelle Pedersen has startet as sales engineer at Labotek. Mads is 28 years old, educated Technical designer, recently overbuilt with a Bachelor of Export & Technology Management. Mads comes from a position as export assistant at CC Jensen, Svendborg.
