Welcome to the 2016 SUA Ball. Our theme this year is Winter Wishes! We are thrilled to share this evening with you and hope you will enjoy this great opportunity to build community while supporting the mission of this very special school. Tonight’s theme started as a simple idea that is now bigger than life thanks to months of creative collaboration among our dedicated volunteers and staff. Tonight we celebrate their creativity and commitment, which we hope was a labor of love. So many friends of Saint Ursula Academy have devoted an enormous amount of time, treasure, and creativity to make this evening possible. In one of her counsels, St. Angela Merici encourages the members of her Company to be happy together. together Under the leadership of this year’s incredible chaircouples, Greg and Mary Lee Waddell and Kevin and Debra Osterfeld, the members of the various committees spent many hours over many months preparing for this evening. We are grateful to all of them; not only for their humor and fun but their undying dedication to our students at Saint Ursula Academy. As we come together to celebrate the mission of Saint Ursula Academy, thank you for sharing your treasure to ensure SUA will continue educating women of faith, integrity and courage for generations to come. It’s been a pleasure to work with the Saint Ursula Academy administration, staff and numerous volunteers on such a wonderful event. On behalf of everyone who made this evening possible thank you for your continued support of Saint Ursula Academy. As we gather tonight, we have the opportunity to continue the strong tradition of providing an excellent education for the students at Saint Ursula Academy. Tonight, your generous support will help bestow the valuable gift of an SUA education to those families who might otherwise not be able to afford it. St. Nick Surprise (December) Annually, SUA selects a festive gift, chosen especially for our students, to be presented here at school on St. Nicholas’ Feast Day on or near December 6. The item is always a “surprise”, but has such wide appeal, you could purchase extras for friends or relatives. This is a popular tradition at SUA; something you don’t want to miss! Last year more than 80% of our families took advantage of this seasonal surprise.
Tuition Raffle (April) Win FREE HALF-TUITION!!! Every year we give the Saint Ursula community the opportunity to win free half-tuition to the institution of their choice (elementary, high school or college) OR take the cash option and use the money as you wish.
