Casco dell’Acqua Country House. The name of this inn means falling water, a joy for all the senses. For the ear, which rejoices at the sound of the Clitunno river that runs nearby. Or for the eye, made proud by the thousands of windows that open onto the amazing views overlooking Trevi, Montefalco, Spoleto and Assisi. Lost amidst the colours: the yellow sunflowers, the violet lavender flowers in bloom, the intensely green, shadowy banks that caress the crystalline waters of the river. Let yourself be pampered here just like the poets that once praised these wonderful places like Virgil, Propertius, Carducci and Byron. Here you can taste and purchase products from the “Umbrian Oasis” where all of these elements frolic and intertwine. A place where water competes with fires roaring in the fireplaces, one in each apartment that make up this incredible country residence dating back to the late 1700’s, brought back to life by the owner, an imaginative architect, together with his family. 65
