For History Buffs United States Navy: WWI & WWII

The Army protected the U.S. from sea to shining sea for generations but it was the Navy that guarded those seas. From WWI through WWII the Navy has a rich and exciting history. Uniforms, equipment and other artifacts will provide an idea of what the life of the common sailor was like, in port, on the ships and during battle. This exhibit is open until December 29, 2013. The Homefront: V-mail to Email

Through objects, photos and documents, this exhibit will examine Americans who survived on the homefront while their soldier, sailor, airman or marine was overseas defending the nation. We’ll explore what life was like for those on the homefront and the daily life of those in the service. Rations cards, scrap metal drives, V-mail to email, K-rations to MREs, will be examined. This exhibit will be open from April 5 to December 20, 2014. Age

Historic Ghost Stories

Ghosts and goblins rarely follow a schedule and neither will we if your group is willing to share an evening with those that enjoy things that go bump in the night. Whether you enjoy hearing tales in a 200-year-old mansion, among the stone ruins of Fort Belle Fontaine or in the hidden recesses of Jefferson Barracks, our story-tellers will be happy to guide you to the other side of the night.
