How Sweet it is!

My Family… My Family is an ice cold carton of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. My daddy is the chunks of sticky cookie dough that attach to you. My little brother is the little tiny chocolate chips that are bundled deep inside the sticky chunks of cookie dough. I am the vanilla ice cream that sits between the cookie dough chunks waiting to be set free. My older brother is the vapor, leaving you unable to catch it. My older sister is the milky melted ice cream dripping out of the carton. My mom is the ice crystals, yearning to come inside. My nana is the paper carton holding everyone together. My Family Metaphor My family is a piece of bubble gum. I’m the fresh, juicy part with lots of flavor. My mom is the millions of bubbles, waiting to be popped. And last but not least there’s my sister, and she is the nasty part that starts to stick to your gums to the point you want to throw it away. Jayvon Blasingame Grade 8, Hartford Middle School
